id="caption-attachment-8020" class="wp-caption-text">The Pittsburgh Steelers have been tremendous against NFC opponents at Heinz Field

Philadelphia sits atop the NFC East division with a 3-1 record, as it hits the road after picking up a 19-17 win over the New York Giants as two-point home favorites last week. The Eagles have won the statistical battle in all four of their games, but are 0-3-1 against the spread, while the UNDER has cashed in three of the contests. “I’d like to keep winning,” stated Eagles head coach Andy Reid. “I honestly don’t feel like we’ve come close to playing our best football.” Offensively, the team ranks 30th in the league in averaging just 16.5 points per game. Philadelphia is 0-2 ATS off a home win against a division rival the last two-plus seasons.

The Eagles have one of the best cornerback duos in the entire NFL, with Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie playing at high level in the first part of the season. Philadelphia certainly matches up with Pittsburgh’s talented wide receivers, but will also need to account for its star running back coming back into the fold. On the offensive side of the ball, it’s important to keep quarterback Michael Vick upright, who has been knocked down 44 times.

Pittsburgh has won four of its five games following the bye week under the direction of head coach Mike Tomlin, while also compiling a solid 14-6 record against NFC opponents during the regular season with him on the sideline. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger strengthens one of those statistics, entering with a dominating 13-1 record at home against out-of-conference opponents. Pittsburgh is 9-0 ATS after a straight-up loss over the last two-plus seasons.

The Steelers have been getting a tremendous amount of production out of Roethlisberger, as he’s performed well in a new offensive scheme under first-year coordinator Todd Haley. He is looking to register his third consecutive game with a passer rating of at least 120.0 in the same season for the first time in his career. On the defensive side of the ball, Pittsburgh expected to have linebacker James Harrison and safety Troy Polamalu back on the field.

Sports bettors will likely back the Eagles due to their 5-2 ATS record on the road with a total of 42.5 to 45, while the Steelers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the NFL handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with cash. Long term packages are available now!

Philadelphia
