first-ever Southeastern Conference road victory this weekend, as it comes off a convincing 58-10 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks as 12.5-point home favorites. The Aggies have won their last three games by an average of 49.7 points over the last three weeks. Quarterback Johnny Manziel is certainly making it happen, ranking sixth in college football in averaging 356 yards per game. Texas A&M is still just 1-8-1 ATS in its last 10 conference games, while the OVER is 6-1 in the team’s last seven games in October.

The Aggies may be able to draw off the success of first-year head coach Kevin Sumlin when hitting the road, as he’s won seven straight games in that situation. Texas A&M also joins Florida State as the only two major college programs to rank in the top 35 in the four major offensive and defensive statistical categories. The stop unit has done a tremendous job of getting after the opposing quarterback, ranking sixth nationally in averaging 4.00 sacks per game.

Mississippi has lost all four previous meetings in this series, as it looks to snap a seven-game losing streak in SEC home openers. The Rebels will need to continue punishing opposing teams on the ground, as they are averaging 223.8 rushing yards per game. First-year head coach Hugh Freeze knows that his side will be challenged in this contest inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. “We’ve got our hands full with them,” stated Freeze this week. Mississippi is 4-9 ATS in its last 13 home games.

The Rebels have done a good job of not making a lot of mistakes, as they are the least-penalized side in the conference. Mississippi is led by sophomore quarterback Bo Wallace offensively, as he’s started all five games, while sitting ninth in the SEC in averaging 201.0 yards per game in total offense. Freeze has certainly changed the team’s offensive approach, averaging 434 yards per game after finishing 11th in that particular category in 2011 (281.2 ypg).

Sports bettors will likely back the Rebels due to their 17-6 ATS mark after scoring 20 points or less, while the Aggies are 1-4 ATS in October.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with
