Philadelphia ended its six-game losing streak with a 9-6 road win over the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night, as the club continues to sit six games back of the Washington Nationals in the National League East standings.\u00a0 \u201cWe played like we were having fun,\u201d commented Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino.\u00a0 The Phillies are still just 117-137 all-time in interleague play, including a 57-66 mark on the road.\u00a0 The club has managed to produce a 13-5 record in its last 18 games away from Citizens Bank Park overall.<\/p>\n

Phillies starting pitcher Vance Worley (3-2, 3.38 ERA) has watched the club alternate wins and losses over his last four outings, as he didn\u2019t factor in the decision of a 4-3 home setback to the Los Angeles Dodgers last time out.\u00a0 The right-hander is 2-1 with a 2.52 ERA in four road outings, issuing seven walks and striking out 26 in 25 frames.\u00a0 Worley will be making his first career appearance against the Orioles in this affair.<\/p>\n

Baltimore has fallen flat in dropping seven of 10, as the club will try to snap a three-game losing streak in front of the home fans.\u00a0 The Orioles need outfielder Adam Jones to start producing again at the plate, going hitless in his last 14 at-bats, as he saw his 13-game home hitting streak snapped in the series opener.\u00a0 It\u2019s still important to note that the club is one of just two in the majors that has six different players with seven or more home runs on its roster.\u00a0 Baltimore is 16-24 in interleague play the last two-plus seasons.<\/p>\n

Orioles starting pitcher Tommy Hunter (2-3, 5.59 ERA) struggled in his last two starts in the month of May, allowing 11 runs (10 earned) and 18 hits over nine frames.\u00a0 The right-hander is 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA in five home starts this year, with opposing hitters batting .250 against him.\u00a0 Hunter has enjoyed success in facing NL opponents, posting a 2-1 record and 2.61 ERA in four interleague starts during his time with the Texas Rangers, as he\u2019ll be facing the Phillies for the first time in his career.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Phillies due to their 8-3 record in Baltimore, while the Orioles are 0-7 at home versus right-handed starters.<\/p>\n
