Red Sox starting pitcher Jon Lester (2-3, 3.71 ERA) is coming off a 6-1 complete-game home victory over the Seattle Mariners, allowing one run and eights, while not issuing a single walk and collecting six strikeouts.\u00a0 The left-hander is 1-2 with a 2.65 ERA in five road starts, with opposing hitters batting just .215 against him.\u00a0 In three career games versus the Phillies, Lester brings in a perfect 2-0 mark and 0.43 ERA, as he\u2019s not allowed a single home run in 21 frames.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Red Sox due to their 8-1 record in Lester\u2019s last nine starts against NL East opponents, while the Phillies are 2-8 in their last 10 interleague home games against southpaws.<\/p>\n
