The Jayhawks are in line to be a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament if the win the Big 12 tournament.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The 15-17 Texas A&amp;M Aggies beat Oklahoma 62-53 in the first round of the Big 12 tournament Wednesday night. The reward for the Aggies is a date with\u00a0 top seed Kansas in the quarters. The Jayhawks are 26-5 and ranked #3 in the country. Kansas won the Big 12 title outright with a 16-2 record and could be in line for a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament next week. It was the 8th straight\u00a0 conference title for the Jayhawks. Texas A&amp;M finished 9th in the Big 12 with a 4-14 record. Before the Oklahoma win, Texas A&amp;M had lost 5 in a row and 9 of the last 10 games. Kansas has won 8 games in a row, including 73-63 at home against Texas to close out the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas has dominated the series against Texas A&amp;M with a 19-1 record. The Jayhawks have won 8 in a row against the Aggies. Kansas swept the season series winning 64-54 January 23 in Lawrence, and 66-58 in College Station February 22. The next loss for Texas A&amp;M will mark the end of their time in the Big 12 as they are moving to the SEC next season.<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M is coached by Billy Kennedy. The Aggies have wins over St. John&#8217;s, Texas Tech twice, and Oklahoma St. Texas A&amp;M has losses to Mississippi St, Florida, and Rice.
