Texas A&M Aggies are hoping to get some injured players back in the lineup Monday night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Texas has split its last four games and comes in off a 74-57 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday.\u00a0 The Longhorns have faint hopes of reaching the NCAA Tournament due to their 14-9 overall record, including a 4-6 mark in Big 12 Conference play.\u00a0 The team\u2019s main strength is certainly on the glass, winning the rebounding battle in seven of 10 conference games.\u00a0 The program has a great chance of putting together a win streak tonight, posting wins in four straight games in this series, while going 22-7 versus Texas A&M during the Rick Barnes\u2019 era.\u00a0 Texas is 2-10 ATS as a favorite this year.<\/p>\n

The Longhorns are led offensively by the play of junior J\u2019Covan Brown, who comes in averaging 19.6 points per game.\u00a0 Texas can definitely make an argument of getting into the NCAA Tournament field due to close losses, dropping seven of its nine games by six points or less.\u00a0 Five of the nine losses have come against AP Top 10 opponents.\u00a0 Since Barnes arrived in Austin, the program is 118-16 versus in-state opponents.<\/p>\n

Texas A&M is suffering through a disappointing 2011-12 campaign and will look to snap a two-game losing streak.\u00a0 Despite their struggles in registering a 12-10 record up to this point, the Aggies have covered eight of their last nine games.\u00a0 Recent injuries have hampered the team, but guard Dash Harris and forward Khris Middleton are listed as questionable to return for tonight\u2019s Lone Star State showdown.\u00a0 \u201cWe are just a little short-handed right now,\u201d commented Aggies head coach Billy Kennedy.\u00a0 Texas A&M is 5-3 at home this season.<\/p>\n

The Aggies are 44-6 in their last 50 home games, while going 19-5 when hosting Big 12 opponents inside Reed Arena.\u00a0 Texas A&M has also registered a dominating 39-3 record at home versus unranked teams.\u00a0 The program still leads the conference in two defensive categories, which are scoring and three-point field-goal percentage defense.\u00a0 On the offensive end, junior guard Elston Turner needs to come up with a big performance, averaging 19.2 points over his last five games.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Aggies due to the home team being 14-6-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings in this series, while the Longhorns are 1-4 ATS following a straight-up win.<\/p>\n
