A&M when the two teams square off Wednesday night inside Reed Arena in College Station. The Bears enter on a two-game winning streak that directly followed a two-game losing streak. The program is 12-4 in its last 16 games against its three in-state Big 12 opponents, while enjoying its best ever start with a 19-2 record. Sophomore forward Perry Jones III is the star of the show, averaging a team-high 14.7 points per game. He’s a big reason why the team enters with a conference-best 5-1 record on the road, scoring 17.5 points a contest. Baylor is 14-10 ATS away from home the last two-plus seasons.

The Bears are definitely one of the more talented teams in the nation and rank eighth in field-goal percentage, while sitting 13th in scoring margin. Baylor has won four straight games over Texas A&M in this particular series, but has split the last four games in tonight’s venue. It’s important to note that the school’s last three wins at Texas A&M have been overtime games.

Texas A&M has alternated wins and losses over its last six games, coming off an impressive 76-61 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys as 4.5-point home favorites. The Aggies have also switched going “over” and “under” the total in each of those contests. The program will be seeking revenge from a 61-52 loss in the first meeting this season as 13.5-point road underdogs. “I think we were a little intimidated in the first half,” commented Aggies head coach Bill Kennedy about the first meeting. Texas A&M is 3-0 ATS this year when revenging a road loss versus an opponent this year.

The Aggies lead the Big 12 in two defensive categories, which are scoring defense and three-point field-goal percentage defense. Texas A&M held Oklahoma State to just 37.9 percent shooting from the floor last time out. Five of the program’s eight losses this year have come to teams currently ranked in the top 20 nationally. Facing tonight’s opponent isn’t a good matchup for the team, with the offense scoring 46.3 percent of its points inside the paint during the 2011-12 season thus far.

Bettors will likely back the Bears due to their 6-2 ATS mark in the last eight meetings in College Station, while the Aggies are 2-5 ATS following a straight-up win.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college basketball handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with
