id="caption-attachment-15696" class="wp-caption-text">The Philadelphia 76ers will put their perfect home record on the line Wednesday night

Denver has won three of its last four games and comes off a 105-95 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks as three-point road favorites last night. “Our mental approach to the game was much, much better to start the game, especially on the defensive end,” commented Nuggets guard Aaron Afflalo. The Nuggets are averaging 104.1 points per game, second in the NBA behind only the Miami Heat. Offensively, the team made 12 three-point shots last night, while assisting on 27 of 32 field goals. Denver is 5-1 ATS on the road this season.

The Nuggets have won five of their last eight road meetings versus the 76ers, but dropped a 110-99 decision as 1.5-point underdogs in their last such contest on Jan. 30, 2011. Denver picked up an important win last night, especially considering that it began a five-game trip that will take the squad through all three time zones. The starting five has four players averaging in double figures, with the entire group being led by forward Danilo Gallinari, who is scoring 16.8 points per game.

Philadelphia has won and covered its last three games since suffering an 85-79 loss to the New York Knicks on Jan. 11. The 76ers have opened up the 2011-12 campaign with six straight home victories for the first time since the 2002-03 season. “I’m down to win all of them,” commented Sixers guard Jrue Holiday. He scored a game-high 24 points in the team’s latest victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Philadelphia is 10-1 ATS as a favorite this season and the ‘under’ is 7-4 in those contests.

The 76ers currently rank second in the league in allowing just 85.8 points per game, while ranking first in field goal and three-point defense. Philadelphia has outscored its opponents by a total of 194 points through the first 13 games, leading the league in outscoring teams by 15.0 points per game. Defensively, the team has held all six opponents below 90 points inside the Wells Fargo Center, as teams are averaging just 79.5 points per game in that situation. Philadelphia led the league in fewest turnovers a year ago and are currently pacing the NBA in that category this year.

Bettors will likely play the ‘under’ in this contest due to it cashing in the 76ers last six games as a home favorite of 5 to 10.5 points, while the Nuggets have fallen below the number in 26 of 39 games as a road underdog in that situation.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the NBA handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with cash. Long term packages are available now!

Denver Nuggets at Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday, 1/18/12, 7:00 PM EST,
