Military Bowl inside RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.\u00a0 The Rockets will be playing this contest without former head coach Tim Beckman, who has gone on to take over the program at Illinois.\u00a0 \u201cWe are very pleased that Matt Campbell has agreed to become the head football coach at the University of Toledo,\u201d commented Rockets athletic director Mike O\u2019Brien.\u00a0 It\u2019s certainly a well-deserved honor with the team averaging 42.3 points this season during his time as offensive coordinator.\u00a0 Toledo is 4-5 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus years.<\/p>\n<p>The Rockets have tallied back-to-back 7-1 MAC seasons for the first time in school history and set a school record with five straight games scoring 40 or more points over the final five games of the season.\u00a0 Wide receiver Eric Page is an absolute star, setting school record for most receptions in a season (112) and for a career (293).\u00a0 Sophomore quarterback Terrance Owens is the pilot, completing 71.4 percent of his passes, ranking sixth nationally in passing efficiency.\u00a0 Six players were named to the All-MAC football team\u2014led by page landing on the first team at three positions.<\/p>\n<p>Air Force is making its first-ever trip to this exciting postseason affair, making a school-record fifth consecutive appearance in a bowl game.\u00a0 The Falcons are certainly aware that they are up against it defensively on Wednesday in facing an explosive offense.\u00a0 \u201cThe first thing that pops out to me is they can put up a lot of points,\u201d stated Falcons quarterback Tim Jefferson.\u00a0 The Falcons are 1-1 all-time against teams from the Mid-American Conference, with both games coming against Kent State.\u00a0 Air Force is 4-1 ATS as an underdog of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus years.<\/p>\n<p>The Falcons will look to move their record above .500 in bowl competition, posting a 10-10-1 all-time mark in their first 21 opportunities.\u00a0 Air Force has won its last two bowl games, including a 14-7 win over Georgia Tech in the 2010 Independence Bowl.\u00a0 Head coach Troy Calhoun has registered a solid 17-8 record against non-conference opponents, which includes a 3-2 mark in neutral site games.<\/p>\n<p>Bettors will likely back the Rockets due to their 8-3 ATS mark as a favorite, while the Falcons are
