Clemson Tigers guard Andre Young is certainly the star of the show<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

South Carolina is 2-5 on the season and will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak, dropping a 76-67 contest to the Providence Friars as 6.5-point home favorites last time out.\u00a0 The Gamecocks were led by senior forward Malik Cooke, who tallied a game-high 21 points, falling just a point shy of his career high.\u00a0 The program has tallied a 281-404 all-time record against ACC schools, with the last victory against such an opponent coming in a 64-60 win over Clemson on Dec. 5, 2010.\u00a0 South Carolina is 1-5 ATS versus ACC opponents the last two-plus years.<\/p>\n

The Gamecocks have certainly controlled the boards this season, out-rebounding six of seven opponents.\u00a0 South Carolina will have a 12-day break from action due to final exams after this particular contest.\u00a0 The program holds an 87-74 edge in the all-time series, but are 31-44 when playing in Clemson.\u00a0 On the year, the Gamecocks are averaging 63 points offensively and giving up 65 a night.<\/p>\n

Clemson enters the game with a 4-2 record and defeated Iowa, 71-55, as one-point underdogs in the Big Ten\/ACC Challenge.\u00a0 The Tigers are coming off their best outside shooting performance of the season, making 11-of-21 from three-point range and hitting 51.9 percent from the field overall.\u00a0 On the defensive end, the team has held five of six opponents to 60 points or less and is second in the ACC in scoring defense.\u00a0 Clemson is 0-2 ATS at home this year and 16-13 ATS over the past two-plus campaigns.<\/p>\n

The Tigers are led offensively by senior guard Andre Young, who is averaging 15.2 points and averaging 3.8 assists per game.\u00a0 He has 187 three-point baskets in this career, which is more than any other active player in the ACC.\u00a0 Clemson may be trailing in the all-time series, but it has won 32 of 47 games between the two schools since South Carolina left the ACC after the 1971-72 campaign.\u00a0 Andre Young is certainly the general on the floor, tallying 268 assists and just 128 turnovers in this career, ranking third-best in school history with a 2.09 assist-to-turnover ratio.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Tigers due to their 8-3 ATS mark versus SEC opponents, while the Gamecocks are 1-7 ATS when facing off against ACC foes.<\/p>\n
