Oregon Ducks RB LaMichael James is ready for the Civil War against the Oregon State Beavers<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Oregon State has the opportunity of sweeping the Pacific Northwest this season for the first time since 2004, already beating Washington and Washington State earlier in the 2011 campaign.\u00a0 \u201cIn every phase of the game we\u2019re going to have to play at a tremendously high level to compete,\u201d stated Beavers coach Mike Riley.\u00a0 The Civil War is the seventh-most contested rivalry in the nation and the program will be looking for its first victory in the series since capturing a 38-31 overtime win in 2007 as one-point road underdogs.\u00a0 Oregon State is 5-5 ATS in November the last two-plus years.<\/p>\n

The Beavers will need to create turnovers to remain competitive Saturday, something that the team has done a great job of, converting 21 opponent\u2019s miscues into 67 points.\u00a0 Over the last 98 games, Oregon State is 36-8 when committing fewer turnovers than its opponent, while going 9-28 when committing more.\u00a0 Offensively, quarterback Sean Mannion leads a potent aerial attack, with the team ranking 21st in the nation in averaging 285.6 passing yards per game.<\/p>\n

Oregon was handed a 38-35 loss by the USC Trojans last weekend as 16.5-point home favorites, ending any chance of the program reaching the BCS Championship Game for the second consecutive year.\u00a0 \u201cWhen you lose a game you can\u2019t wait to play the next one,\u201d stated Ducks junior running back LaMichael James.\u00a0 \u201cPractice has been going really well.\u201d\u00a0 The Ducks are 13-7-1 versus the Beavers when playing host inside Autzen Stadium, including wins in seven of the past eight meetings.\u00a0 Oregon is 3-0 ATS this year as a favorite of 21.5 to 31 points, with the \u2018under\u2019 cashing in two of those games.<\/p>\n

The Ducks offense has scored 502 points on the season, going over the 500-point mark for the second straight year and third time overall.\u00a0 Oregon head coach Chip Kelly is definitely a candidate to bounce back, dropping his first game against an opponent that had only a week to prepare.\u00a0 The program will be focused in registering a victory in this regular-season finale, which would clinch the Pac-12 Conference North Division and earn the team a spot in the inaugural championship game.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Ducks due to their 4-0 ATS mark following a spread loss, while the Beavers are 1-4 ATS as an underdog of 10.5 or more points.<\/p>\n
