The Georgia Bulldogs have dominated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets during the Mark Richt era<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Georgia is looking to win its 10th consecutive game after starting the season with an 0-2 record in dropping back-to-back contests against the Boise State Broncos and South Carolina Gamecocks.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s hard to win nine in a row, especially when you need every single one to get back to the Georgia Dome,\u201d stated Bulldogs coach Mark Richt.\u00a0 The Bulldogs have been led by an attacking defense, ranking fourth in total defense in allowing 263.5 yards per game.\u00a0 Georgia is 3-0 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points this season.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs have posted a 9-1 record against the Yellow Jackets since Richt took over in Athens, while also going 42-7 versus non-conference competition during that time.\u00a0 Georgia came away with a 42-34 win in last year\u2019s meeting as 14-point home favorites despite losing the ground battle by a sizable 253-yard margin.\u00a0 Sophomore quarterback Aaron Murray is enjoying another solid season, throwing for 28 passing touchdowns and being the SEC\u2019s active leader in total offensive yards.<\/p>\n

Georgia Tech has enjoyed a fantastic season with one of the youngest rosters in the nation, as it will play in a bowl game for the 15th consecutive season down the road.\u00a0 The Yellow Jackets are on pace to produce 6,000 yards of total offense for the first time in school history.\u00a0 The unit is one of four schools nationally to rush for more than 300 yards per game, averaging 323.5 rushing yards per game.\u00a0 Georgia Tech is 2-0 ATS as a home underdog of 3.5 to 7 points, while the \u2018under\u2019 has cashed in both of those contests.<\/p>\n

The Yellow Jackets have registered an impressive 6-1 record against ranked foes under the direction of head coach Paul Johnson.\u00a0 His teams are also 22-1 when scoring 30 or more points, but will be hard-pressed to reach that number Saturday, facing a defense that\u2019s allowing 17.8 points a contest.\u00a0 Georgia Tech\u2019s backfield has three players that have ran for more than 1,000 yards in their careers, led by senior Roddy Jones (1,754), who is expected to make his school-record 51st start.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Bulldogs due to their 5-2-1 ATS mark as a road favorite of 3.5 to 10 points, while the Yellow Jackets are 6-18-2 ATS at home versus a team with a winning record on the road.<\/p>\n
