The Arizona Wildcats are 1-4 ATS through five games this season<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

San Diego State enters with a solid 5-1 record and has won two consecutive games since suffering its only loss, which happened to be a 77-67 defeat to the Baylor Bears as nine-point road underdogs.\u00a0 The Aztecs are returning to the site of their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory at the Division I level, beating Northern Colorado inside the McKale Center.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s a hard place to play, anywhere on the road is hard,\u201d stated Aztecs coach Steve Fisher in practice.\u00a0 San Diego State is 7-6 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus years.<\/p>\n

The Aztecs will be seeking to win their seventh straight game versus a Pac-12 Conference opponent, which includes a 56-54 win over the USC Trojans as 5.5-point home favorites on Nov. 15.\u00a0 San Diego State is led by sophomore guard Jamaal Franklin, who is averaging 18.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, scoring a career-high 31 points against UC Davis in the third game of the season.\u00a0 It\u2019s still important to note that the program is 8-11 in its last 19 games versus ranked opponents.<\/p>\n

Arizona returns home after playing a pair of games in the 2K Sports Classic inside Madison Square Garden, dropping a 67-57 affair to the Mississippi State Bulldogs as 5.5-point neutral-site favorites last time out.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ve seen a lot in an early month and I\u2019m very happy with four wins,\u201d commented Wildcats coach Sean Miller.\u00a0 Offensively, the team has five players averaging 9.6 points or more through five games, led by senior guard Kyle Fogg (12.8 ppg).\u00a0 Arizona is 0-3 ATS at home this season and 20-20 ATS as a favorite over the last two-plus campaigns.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats will be meeting the Aztecs for the 27th time, posting a 20-6 all-time record, but dropping a 63-46 contest in the last meeting as nine-point road underdogs on Dec. 12, 2009.\u00a0 Arizona is doing a tremendous job of getting to the charity stripe, averaging 27.8 free throw attempts per game.\u00a0 Miller\u2019s youthful squad is also getting the job done beyond the arc, hitting 7.6 three-pointers per game.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Aztecs due to their 7-1-1 ATS mark as a road underdog of 6.5 points or less, while the Wildcats are 0-4 ATS when facing the Mountain West Conference.<\/p>\n
