id="caption-attachment-5046" class="wp-caption-text">The Texas Longhorns are 1-7 ATS when playing as an underdog the last two-plus seasons

Texas heads back on the road and will look to snap a two-game losing streak that includes a 17-13 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats as 7.5-point home favorites. It was a disappointing result when considering the team won the statistical battle by 189 yards. The Longhorns defense held the Wildcats to 121 total yards and eight first downs. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen them play better. It was just an unbelievable performance,” stated Longhorns coach Mack Brown. The program must quickly refocus in trying to gain revenge from a 24-17 home loss in last year’s series meeting as three-point underdogs. Texas is 1-7 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus years, while being 5-5 ATS during the 2011 campaign.

The Longhorns lead this all-time series, 75-37-5, including a 24-22-1 mark when playing in College Station. Texas doesn’t normally play this game on short rest, but will do so for the 26th time, tallying a 14-11 record in those contests. Playing on Thanksgiving Day is nothing new for this rivalry, meeting up for the 63rd time, with Texas posting a 42-19-2 record in those games. Don’t count out Brown and his squad in this Big 12 Conference road game, coming in with a 34-6 record in that particular situation.

Texas A&M has been a very impressive team statistically all season, out-gaining opponents by an average of 112 yards per game, but has still managed to lost three of four. The Aggies snapped a three-game losing streak with a 61-7 blowout win over the Kansas Jayhawks last week as 31-point home favorites. “It was huge to get this under our wing,” commented Aggies wide receiver Ryan Swope. Texas A&M is 1-4 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points this season and the ‘over’ has cashed in four of those affairs.

The Aggies are certainly going to be up against it in the running game, as both Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael will be out of this contest. Texas A&M is one of a few teams that averages 200-plus rushing and 200-plus passing yards. The game will likely be decided through the air with quarterback Ryan Tannehill throwing to Swope and potentially Jeff Fuller, who was benched last week.

Bettors will likely back the Longhorns due to their 4-1 ATS mark as a road underdog of 3.5 to 10 points, while the Aggies are 1-6 ATS versus a team with a winning record.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with cash. Long term packages are available now!

No. 25 Texas Longhorns at Texas A&M Aggies Thursday, 11/24/11, 8:00 PM EST,
