Kansas City comes in looking to snap a two-game losing streak and remain in the AFC West divisional race.\u00a0 The Chiefs will be playing without the services of starting quarterback Matt Cassel, who is out with a hand injury, ruining his opportunity to face his former team.\u00a0 Tyler Palko will make his first career start on the NFL\u2019s biggest stage of Monday Night Football, coming in with just 13 pass attempts during his time in the league.\u00a0 Kansas City is 5-1 ATS as an underdog and the \u2018under\u2019 is 4-2 in those contests.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs will need to come up with a solid defensive scheme in facing the high-powered Patriots offense, something that coordinator Romeo Crennel might be able to do.\u00a0 He\u2019s seen New England\u2019s Tom Brady up close, serving as the franchise\u2019s defensive coordinator at one time.\u00a0 On the offensive side of the ball, wide receiver Dwayne Bowe needs to get the ball in his hands, catching 19 scoring passes since the start of the 2010 campaign, which trails only the Lions Calvin Johnson in that category.<\/p>\n

New England will play on national television in prime time for the second straight week and comes off a 37-16 win over the New York Jets as 2.5-point road underdogs.\u00a0 The Patriots are sitting atop the AFC East division and Brady needs just 295 yards to set the NFL record for most passing yards in the first 10 games this season.\u00a0 Last year\u2019s regular-season MVP hasn\u2019t faced Kansas City since 2008, while this will be his second meeting versus Crennel, posting a 34-17 win over the Cleveland Browns during the 2007 season.\u00a0 New England is 23-18 ATS over the last two-plus seasons, while the \u2018over\u2019 is 25-17 in that span.<\/p>\n

The Patriots will have a great opportunity to continue leading the league in total yards offensively, facing a defensive unit that ranks 22nd in the league in giving up 364.3 yards per game.\u00a0 New England is also nearly unbeatable at home, posting a 63-13 record in regular season games inside Gillette Stadium since the start of the 2002 season.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Chiefs due to their 11-2 ATS mark as an underdog of 10.5 or more points, while the Patriots are 3-13 ATS as a home favorite of 10.5 or more points.<\/p>\n
