The New York Giants will try to sweep their NFC East divisional series with the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Philadelphia is set to continue its nightmarish season Sunday night when facing the New York Giants for the second time, dropping back-to-back games, including a 21-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals as 13.5-point home favorites.\u00a0 The Eagles are unsure if quarterback Michael Vick is going to be under center, as he\u2019s missed a lot of practice time with two broken ribs.\u00a0 \u201cHe\u2019s feeling a little bit better,\u201d commented Eagles head coach Andy Reid.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m not going to tell you he\u2019s feeling great, but he\u2019s feeling a little better.\u201d\u00a0 Philadelphia is 4-5 ATS when revenging a loss versus an opponent the last two-plus years.<\/p>\n

The Eagles were handed a 29-16 loss by the Giants in the first meeting this year as nine-point home favorites, gaining 177 yards on the ground and 199 through the air.\u00a0 Vick was actually knocked out of that contest on Sept. 25 due to a broken right hand.\u00a0 Philadelphia could be led offensively by backup signal-caller Vince Young, while wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected back after being deactivated last week due to missing a team meeting.<\/p>\n

New York hasn\u2019t dropped back-to-back games this year, coming off a 27-20 loss to the San Francisco 49ers as four-point road underdogs.\u00a0 The Giants are preparing to face Vick despite the questions about his status.\u00a0 \u201cMy response is that if it is at all possible, he will play,\u201d stated Giants head coach Tom Coughlin about preparing for the Eagles starting quarterback.\u00a0 The defensive unit is probably more concerned in stopping Philadelphia\u2019s punishing rushing attack that comes in averaging 171.6 yards per game.\u00a0 New York is 18-22 ATS over the last two-plus seasons and the \u2018over\u2019 is 26-14 in those contests.<\/p>\n

The Giants have been led by the steady play offensively of quarterback Eli Manning, coming in with 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions with a 97.0 passer rating.\u00a0 New York will not have the services of running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who will be missing a third game with a broken right foot.\u00a0 The rushing attack has been unreliable for most of the year, gaining just 89.2 yards per game.\u00a0 On the other side of the ball, New York\u2019s fierce pass rush leads the league in sacks and will get after any opposing quarterback that it faces Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Eagles due to their 7-1 ATS mark as a road underdog of 3.5 to 10 points, while the Giants are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings.<\/p>\n
