four-game losing streak by handing Middle Tennessee State a 24-0 loss as 21.5-point home favorites last week. The Volunteers will be meeting the Razorbacks for the first time since posting a 34-13 home win on Nov. 10, 2007. With the program facing the No. 8 team in the country this week, all three of its SEC West opponents have been ranked amongst the top eight teams this season. Tennessee has faced a ranked Arkansas squad five times, winning four of those contests. Over the last two-plus seasons, Tennessee is 7-2 ATS in November and the ‘over’ is 5-4.

The Volunteers have been incredibly successful during the month of November over the last 11 seasons, posting a 38-9 record. Tennessee will be looking to go into the break with the lead, posting a perfect 10-0 record under Derek Dooley when doing so. Youth has been a major obstacle for the team in being consistent under Dooley’s watch, as 43 players have made their first Division I start over the last two seasons. That number includes quarterback Justin Worley, who is the sixth true freshman to start for the program since 1994.

Arkansas will be celebrating Senior Day against Tennessee and will be playing a second straight game in Fayetteville, posting a 44-28 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks as five-point home favorites last week. The Razorbacks are currently third in the SEC West division, trailing the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers, but things could definitely change over the next couple weeks. Offensively, the team leads the SEC in scoring 37.7 points per game and averaging 450.9 yards offensively. Arkansas is 13-4 ATS at home over the last two-plus seasons.

The Razorbacks have also enjoyed great success during this calendar month, winning nine of their last 10 November games. Head coach Bobby Petrino boasts the highest winning percentage (.786) of any SEC coach during the month. Arkansas can obviously put up points in bunches, scoring on 37-of-42 trips inside the red zone. Quarterback Tyler Wilson is the leader of the unit, leading the conference and 12th nationally with 2,626 passing yards. His main target is wide receiver Jarius Wright, who is averaging 101.5 receiving yards per game.

Bettors will likely back the Volunteers due to their 6-0 ATS mark in November, while the favorite is 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux Sports
