id="caption-attachment-3920" class="wp-caption-text">The Oklahoma State Cowboys are in the driver's seat to make an appearance in the BCS Championship Game.

Oklahoma State will hit the road the next two weeks leading up to its rivalry game in hosting the Oklahoma Sooners on Dec. 3. The Cowboys are No. 2 in the BCS standings and will likely earn a spot in the national title game if they win out. The program is 9-0 for just the second time in school history and for the first time since its lone undefeated season in 1945. Prior to the 2011 campaign, the team had never been higher than six in the BCS. Oklahoma State is 20-7 ATS as a favorite over the past two-plus seasons, while the ‘over’ is 16-12 in those contests.

The Cowboys will be looking to win their 10th consecutive road game, while also looking to capture their third consecutive victory in this series. Oklahoma State came away with a 34-17 win as three-point road underdogs last year. Offensively, the team is averaging 50.1 points per game, with quarterback Brandon Weeden ranking fourth nationally in throwing for 356.9 passing yards per game. Wide receiver Justin Blackmon leads the country with 12 touchdown catches.

Texas Tech will be aiming to snap a two-game losing streak and a three-game losing streak at Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday. The Red Raiders have fallen off a cliff since beating the Oklahoma Sooners as 29-point road underdogs, including a 52-20 loss to the Texas Longhorns last week. Defensively, the team allowed the Longhorns to rush for 439 rushing yards, which wasn’t a surprise with the unit coming in 114th in the country in trying to stop the run. Texas Tech is 10-11 ATS versus conference opponents the last two-plus years.

The Red Raiders have compiled a 9-6 record against the Cowboys since the school joined the Big 12 Conference in 1996. Over that span, a total of 880 points have been scored in the 15 games, with Texas Tech outscoring Oklahoma State by a 521-359 margin. Head coach Tommy Tubberville enters Saturday’s game with a 5-5 career record against teams in the AP Top 5. Quarterback Seth Doege is the leader offensively, throwing for over 300 yards in six of eight games this season. He completed 40-of-55 passes versus Texas for 381 yards and no interceptions. The junior ranks first nationally in averaging 32.6 completions per game, while sitting fifth in throwing for 351.1 yards a contest.

Bettors will likely back the Red Raiders due to their 6-1 ATS mark as a home underdog, while the Cowboys are 2-6 ATS in their last eight trips to Lubbock.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with cash. Long term packages are available
