Illinois is set to play its third consecutive Mid-American Conference road game, which will also be its second straight Tuesday night game on ESPN. The Huskies came away with a thrilling 63-60 win over the Toledo Rockets last week as 9.5-point road underdogs. First-year head coach Dave Doeren was on cloud nine after tallying the victory. “Excited about what I think was one of the best college football games I’ve definitely been a part of,” commented Doeren after the game. The program has tallied a 25-13 record versus conference foes on the road since 2002. Northern Illinois is 0-2 ATS as a road favorite the last two-plus years.

The Huskies are 6-10 all-time versus the Falcons, but have come away with victories in three of the last four meetings, including a 16-13 win as seven-point home favorites on Oct. 25, 2008. Quarterback Chandler Harnish is the star of the show, running for 133 yards and passing for 265 more in last week’s thriller. For his career, He has surpassed 10,000 total yards in offense, throwing for 7,690 and running for 2,475 more. The 123 points scored in the contest was the most in a MAC non-overtime game.

Bowling Green has lost four of its last five games, but tallied spread victories in its two opportunities as home underdogs against the Toledo Rockets and Temple Owls during October. The Falcons were handed a 27-15 loss by the Kent State Golden Flashes as 3.5-point home favorites to close out the month, playing that contest without freshman running back Anthon Samuel. He was suffering from post-concussion symptoms, but appears to be ready to rejoin the team for this Week 10 tilt. “His symptoms had pretty much cleared up,” stated Falcons head coach Dave Clawson. “Right now we plan on having him.” Bowling Green is 3-0 ATS as an underdog of 3.5 to 10 points this year.

The Falcons weren’t able to do much on the ground without Samuel in the backfield, gaining just 45 total rushing yards. Bowling Green does have a capable passing attack led by quarterback Matt Schilz and wide receiver Kamar Jorden, as the two connected 12 times for 203 yards versus Kent State in a losing effort. From a postseason standpoint, the program must win its three remaining games to become bowl eligible, as one of its victories came against a non-FBS opponent.

Bettors will likely back the Falcons due to their 11-4 ATS mark in November, while the Huskies are 1-4 ATS on the road.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with cash. Long term packages are available
