Cowboys get a chance to bounce back from a tough road loss at home against an inferior opponent. The Cowboys (3-4) will be double-digit favorites in their second straight home game on Sunday when they host the struggling Seattle Seahawks (2-5).

Dallas (-11, O/U 44.5) is coming off a 34-7 loss at Philadelphia on Sunday Night Football and has beaten just one team with a winning record this season. The Cowboys crushed St. Louis by an identical 34-7 score two weeks ago as 14-point home favorites after losing at New England 20-16 in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Seattle has lost two in a row and three of four with the lone victory during that stretch coming on the road against the New York Giants, 36-25. The Seahawks are coming off a 34-12 home loss to Cincinnati and were never really in the game. They trailed the Bengals 17-3 at halftime and were then outscored 17-6 in the fourth quarter even though Cincy did not score an offensive touchdown in the second half.

Seattle quarterback Tavaris Jackson returned from a pectoral injury, but only because starter Charlie Whitehurst was ineffective. Jackson threw for a career-high 323 yards but also tossed an interception in the fourth quarter that was returned 75 yards for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining. Running back Marshawn Lynch scored their only touchdown in the game and finished with 24 yards rushing on 16 carries.

Dallas is also dealing with a few injuries, as the status of linebacker Sean Lee (wrist), punter Mat McBriar (foot) and cornerback Mike Jenkins (hamstring) remains up in the air. Lee is the team’s leading tackler, and the Eagles took advantage of his absence last week in rushing for 239 yards.

The Cowboys hope to get rookie RB DeMarco Murray more involved in the offense this week after he carried the ball just eight times for 74 yards following his franchise-record 253 against the Rams. Murray did not get much of a chance because Philly jumped out to a 24-0 lead at halftime.

Seattle has won four of the last seven meetings with Dallas but has failed to cover the spread in each of the past five games between the teams. The UNDER is 3-1 in the last four meetings and has also cashed in the past three games for the Cowboys overall.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the NFL handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets
