class="wp-caption-text">Kansas City QB Matt Cassel has helped lead his team into a three-way tie for the AFC West lead.

The winless Miami Dolphins take to the road for the fifth time in their last six games on Sunday when they visit the streaking Kansas City Chiefs. The Dolphins (0-7) are coming off their best effort of the season but still find themselves without a victory while the Chiefs are riding a four-game winning streak following an 0-3 start.

Kansas City (-4, O/U 40) became the first team in NFL history to lose three straight to open the season and then at least share the division lead following four more games. The Chiefs accomplished that feat by stealing a win away from the visiting San Diego Chargers on Halloween night.

The Chargers had all but won the latest Monday Night Football matchup in the final minute, but quarterback Philip Rivers fumbled the ball on an exchange from center when they were simply trying to run time off the clock to set up the game-winning field goal. Instead, Kansas City kicker Ryan Succop was the one who kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime for the second year in a row on Halloween, giving his team a stunning 23-20 victory over San Diego.

The Chiefs, Chargers and Oakland Raiders all sit at 4-3 in the race for the AFC West title. Meanwhile, Miami continues to search for its first win after blowing an early 14-3 lead on the road against the New York Giants last Sunday. The Dolphins allowed the Giants to score the game’s final 10 points in the fourth quarter for a 20-17 victory, as QB Matt Moore continued his struggles since taking over for the injured Chad Henne.

Moore completed 13 of 22 passes for 138 yards with no touchdowns and one interception, and he was also sacked five times by the New York defense for 37 yards. In three starts for Miami, Moore has one touchdown pass and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown in a 24-6 road loss to the New York Jets two weeks earlier. He has not thrown for more than 204 yards in any of the games.

However, running back Reggie Bush had his best game in a Dolphins uniform against the Giants, rushing for 103 yards on 15 carries, including a 35-yard run. His previous best game for Miami was 71 yards on 10 carries against the Jets, including a season-high 36-yard run.

The Dolphins have seen their last six games fall UNDER the total since losing 38-24 to the New England Patriots at home in the season opener. They are 1-5-1 against the spread this year but have gone 7-2 straight-up in the last nine meetings with Kansas City and 6-2-1 ATS. The Chiefs have covered their past five games with the total going UNDER four times during that stretch. The OVER is 3-1 in the last four meetings and 7-3 in the past 10.

Don’t miss
