id="caption-attachment-3920" class="wp-caption-text">The Oklahoma State Cowboys will likely move to No. 2 in the BCS standings with a win Saturday

Kansas State will look to regroup after suffering a 58-17 blowout loss to the Oklahoma Sooners last week as 13-point home underdogs, getting out-gained by 450 yards in the contest. “We prepare every week like we always do,” commented Wildcats defensive back David Garrett. “They were just better than us.” It was a surprising result when considering the team actually held a 17-14 lead late in the second quarter. Kansas State is still 4-1 ATS as an underdog this year and the ‘over’ is 37-20 when the team plays in that situation.

The Wildcats continue to rely upon quarterback Collin Klein and running back John Hubert, as the two averaging 95.2 and 88.5 yards respectively on the ground. Kansas State still heads into this game ranked eighth nationally in turnover margin and 17th against the run. The program will also be looking for its third straight Big 12 Conference road win, posting a 27-12 record in such games when coming in ranked. It’s important to note that the last such victory came in 2003.

Oklahoma will likely move up to the No. 2 spot in the BCS standings with a victory Saturday, as Alabama and LSU will play each other in Tuscaloosa. The Cowboys have rattled off eight wins to start the season, covering the last seven, including a 59-24 win over the Baylor Bears as 14.5-point home favorites last week. It’s still important to note that the team was out-gained by 21 yards in that contest. “We gave up yardage, but the bottom line, we end up getting them stopped,” commented Cowboys defensive coordinator Bill Young. Oklahoma State is 22-10 ATS over the last two-plus campaigns and the ‘over’ is 17-16 in that span.

The Cowboys have won three of the last four meetings in this series, including a 24-14 win as 3.5-point road favorites in Manhattan last year. Oklahoma State holds an all-time 18-8 advantage in this particular series when playing in Stillwater. A win on Saturday would make the program 9-0 for just the second time, with the last instance coming in 1945. Despite the yardage numbers, Young’s defense does cause the opponent to make mistakes, forcing 26 turnovers over the last six games. Offensively, the pass-catch combination of quarterback Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon continue to be one of the best in college football. Oklahoma State is averaging 49.9 points per game and racking up 555.1 yards in the process.

Bettors will likely back the Wildcats due to their 4-0 ATS mark as a road underdog of 10.5 or more points, while the Cowboys are 2-5 ATS in this series.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the
