The Auburn Tigers have suffered three losses against AP Top 10 teams this year<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mississippi is 0-4 in the Southeastern Conference this year and will be meeting Auburn for the 36th time, coming in with a 9-26 record in the series.\u00a0 The Rebels will be up against it this evening, winning just two of 13 meetings inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.\u00a0 Offensively, the team ranks 104th or worse in all four major offensive categories.\u00a0 Head coach Houston Nutt has many inexperienced players in key positions on that side of the ball.\u00a0 \u201cThere are no limitations in the game plan in regard to them,\u201d commented Nutt.\u00a0 \u201cThey are learning and playing extremely hard.\u201d\u00a0 Mississippi is 3-0 ATS as an underdog of 10.5 to 21 points.<\/p>\n

The Rebels have had five true freshmen and three redshirt freshman that have started a game this season.\u00a0 Mississippi senior running back Brandon Bolden needs just 17 yards to move into fourth place in school history in career rushing yards.\u00a0 Success during the month of October hasn\u2019t come easy for the program, tallying an 18-25 record in SEC play in the month since the 1998 campaign.\u00a0 Quarterback Randall Mackey has started three games, giving the offense a dual-threat under center behind a mediocre offensive line.<\/p>\n

Auburn returns home for just the second time in the last five weeks and all three of its losses have come against teams currently ranked in the AP Top 10.\u00a0 The Tigers have won 12 consecutive games at tonight\u2019s venue, tied for the seventh-longest home winning streak in the program\u2019s history.\u00a0 The team has also proven victorious in 11 of its last 13 conference games.\u00a0 If the game is close, head coach Gene Chizik has shown the ability to lead his team to victory, tallying a 9-0 mark in games decided by four points or less.\u00a0 Auburn is 0-2 ATS as a favorite this year.<\/p>\n

The Tigers possess a solid running game led by Michael Dyer, who is averaging 101.5 rushing yards per game, sitting 188 shy of reaching 1,000 for the season.\u00a0 Five of the last six games in this series have been decided by double digits, including three game decided by 20 points or more.\u00a0 The team has enjoyed a solid year when considering that 65 percent of its players are underclassmen, as the program was hit hard by early declarations to the draft and graduation after winning last year\u2019s national title.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Rebels due to their 25-7 ATS mark as an underdog of 10.5 or more points, while the Tigers are 2-10 ATS versus a team with a losing record.<\/p>\n
