class="wp-caption-text">Will this be the week Tennessee RB Chris Johnson finally breaks loose?

The winless Indianapolis Colts will try to earn their first victory of the season against a team they have beaten five straight times when they visit the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Both the Colts (0-7) and Titans (3-3) have struggled offensively for different reasons and will look to turn things around in this AFC South battle.

The Colts remain in the running for Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, who is the consensus top pick in next year’s NFL draft. They have yet to see All-Pro QB Peyton Manning take the field this season following neck surgery and also put veteran Kerry Collins on injured reserve due to a concussion, leaving them with Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky as the only signal callers on the roster.

Painter never really got going in a 62-7 loss at New Orleans last Sunday night, as he completed just 9 of 17 passes for 67 yards with one interception and no touchdowns. Indianapolis trailed the Saints 31-0 with 4:20 left in the first half and failed to cover the spread for the third straight game. The OVER has also cashed in the team’s last six games since the season opener.

The Titans (-8.5, O/U 43.5) have not been missing their top offensive player on the field, but running back Chris Johnson has underperformed big-time this year following a contract holdout in the preseason. The fourth-year player out of East Carolina rushed for over 2,000 yards just two years ago but has yet to prove his worth this year after signing a new four-year extension worth $53 million.

Johnson has rushed for more than 100 yards in one game this season, which resulted in a 31-13 win at Cleveland in Week 4. Since then, he has totaled 69 rushing yards on 24 carries in losses to Houston and Pittsburgh by a combined score of 79-24.

Tennessee QB Matt Hasselbeck also not been the same player since losing top wide receiver Kenny Britt for the season with a knee injury in Week 3. Hasselbeck averaged nearly 311 passing yards per game in the first three games Britt started, and he has averaged 195 in the three games without him.

The Titans are 1-3 against the spread in their last four games with the total going OVER in the past three. However, they are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings with Indy with the total going UNDER in four of the past five along with eight of 10.

Don’t miss out on a winning season
