dominating 55-17 win over the Texas Longhorns as 11-point favorites in the Red River Rivalry last week. In fact, the Sooners have outscored their last two opponents by a combined 117-23 margin. The program leads this series, 68-27-6, including a 32-15-4 mark in Lawrence. The most recent game in the series was on Oct. 24, 2009, when an unranked Oklahoma team won over No. 25 Kansas, 35-13, in Lawrence. Oklahoma is 16-14 ATS over the last two-plus seasons and the ‘under’ is 18-13 in those contests.

The Sooners high-powered offense will be going against a Jayhawks stop unit that ranks last in college football in total defense and scoring defense. Quarterback Landry Jones has completed 62 percent of his passes in every game this season and has been over 350 yards in all but one. His main target continues to be wide receiver Ryan Broyles, who is No. 1 in the Big 12 Conference in career receptions. The offensive line has given up only three sacks and just 21 tackles for loss.

Kansas was handed a 70-28 defeat by the Oklahoma State Cowboys last week as 31-point road underdogs, easily going over the 74.5-point total. The Jayhawks were out-gained by just 122 yards, but dropped a 66-24 game on the road against Georgia Tech on Sept. 17, losing the statistical battle by 406 yards. It’s important to note that Kansas coach Turner Gill has some pride in facing Oklahoma, posting a 10-4 all-time mark as a player and being on the sidelines. Over the last two-plus seasons, Kansas is 4-14 ATS against conference rivals.

The Jayhawks are clearly overmatched but the locker room is looking forward to hosting such an opponent on Saturday. “We view it as an opportunity to play the best team in the nation, and it’s an opportunity to compete against them,” commented Kansas tight end Tim Biere. “It’s going to be a great atmosphere.” Quarterback Jordan Webb is the key to keeping things tight, connecting on 80-of-117 passes for 1,130 yards and 11 touchdowns. Offensively, the team has seen 15 different players come away with a reception.

Bettors will find that the Sooners are 4-0 ATS on the road, while the Jayhawks are 1-10 ATS in October.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with cash. Long term packages are available now!

No. 3 Oklahoma
