id="caption-attachment-3920" class="wp-caption-text">The Oklahoma State Cowboys are looking to win two in a row over the Texas Longhorns

Oklahoma State snapped a 12-game losing streak against Texas with last year’s 33-16 win as four-point road favorites, jumping out to a 26-3 halftime lead. The Cowboys have really flourished on the road recently, posting seven consecutive wins away from Stillwater. “I really just enjoy going on the road and playing,” commented quarterback Brandon Weeden. “I think it’s fun to go into other people’s places and use that negative energy.” It’s certainly worked, as the team has the nation’s third-longest road winning streak entering this weekend. Oklahoma State is 17-6 ATS as a favorite and the ‘over’ is 13-11 in those contests.

The Cowboys are coming off a record-breaking performance against the Kansas Jayhawks, tying a school record with 56 points in the first half, finishing with a 70-28 victory. Oklahoma State is now 14-4 in Big 12 Conference games since the start of the 2009 campaign. Turnovers have been a key ingredient to the team’s success, ranking sixth nationally in forcing 17 through five games. Offensively, the program ranks first in scoring offense and second in total yards, while Weeden has turned into one of the best throwers in the country. He has thrown a touchdown pass in 18 straight games.

Texas will look to rebound off a 55-17 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners as 11-point neutral-site underdogs, as the team was out-gained by 194 yards. The Longhorns will continue to use the quarterback tandem of David Ash and Case McCoy, who combined for four turnovers in the defeat, but the team doesn’t have any other options. “The game was so extreme from the adversity standpoint,” commented Longhorns offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin. “Neither of them gave up, neither of them hung their head.” Texas is 11-19 ATS over the last two-plus seasons and the ‘under’ is 17-14 in that span.

The Longhorns hold a 22-3 edge in the all-time series with the Cowboys, winning 12 of the last 13 meetings. It’s also important to point out that head coach Mack Brown has shown a great ability to get his team refocused after the Red River Rivalry, posting a 13-0 record since coming to Austin in the game following Oklahoma on the schedule.

Bettors will likely back the Longhorns due to their 3-2 ATS mark this season, while the Cowboys are 46-50 ATS on the road.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at
