with a 4-1 record and quarterback Robert Griffin III in tow, coming in as the only school nationally that is averaging 300-plus yards passing and 200-plus yards rushing through five games. In fact, the program is the only team ranked in the top 20 in both categories. The Bears haven’t had much luck in this series, dropping 18 of 20, including a 42-30 loss as three-point home underdogs last year. Baylor is 4-1 ATS on the season and the ‘over’ has cashed in four of those five games.

The Bears are actually the highest-ranked AP team in the state of Texas for the first time since 1991, while leading the nation in passing efficiency, ranking third in total offense and fourth in scoring offense. Griffin III has thrown an NCAA-leading 19 touchdown passes that have totaled 566 yards. His favorite target is wide receiver Kendall Wright, who ranks third nationally in receptions and fourth in receiving yards. Baylor has tallied a 73-40-2 all-time mark when being ranked and has led at halftime in all five games this year.

Texas A&M is trying to win its seventh consecutive game against teams from the Lone Star State, with the last such loss coming in the 2009 regular season finale. The Aggies have tallied a 67-31-9 record in this series, compiling a 22-3 record against the Bears in the last 25 meetings. Most of the team’s offense is centered around its running game, being one of just five programs that has two rushers ranked in the top 50 in the category. Texas A&M is 1-4 ATS on the year and the ‘over’ has cashed in three of five opportunities.

The Aggies most talented running back is senior Cyrus Gray, who posted his 13th 100-yard game of his career in a 45-40 win over Texas Tech last week. Last year, he ran for 137 yards and a career-high four touchdowns against the Bears. Over the last three games against Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Texas Tech, the squad has averaged 249.3 rushing and 248 passing yards.

Bettors will likely back the Bears due to their 4-1 ATS record this season, while the Aggies are 0-4 ATS
