LSU Tigers QB Jordan Jefferson is back with the team after being suspended at the start of the 2011 season<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Florida will play just its second road game of the year when traveling to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, while also looking to shake off a 38-10 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide as 3.5-point home underdogs.<\/p>\n

The Gators do have history on their side in this series, posting a 30-24-3 record, including a 16-13 edge on the Tigers\u2019 home field.\u00a0 The last time they traveled to LSU was in 2009, pulling out a 13-3 victory as 9.5-point favorites.<\/p>\n

Offensively, the team needs to get the running game going again, gaining just 15 yards last week. Florida came into the game leading the SEC in averaging 259 yards a contest.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgain, we\u2019ve got our work cut out for us,\u201d said first-year head coach Will Muschamp.\u00a0 \u201cYou got to get that taste out of your mouth.\u00a0 There\u2019s no better opportunity than going and playing LSU.\u201d<\/p>\n

The team will be doing it without the services of starting quarterback John Brantley, who suffered a leg injury in last week\u2019s loss, as true freshman Jeff Driskel will be under center.<\/p>\n

Bettors will find that the Gators are 1-3 ATS as an underdog of 10.5 to 21 points, while posting a 3-6 ATS mark in October.<\/p>\n

LSU will put its No. 1 ranking on the line and comes in on a seven-game winning streak in SEC play at home.\u00a0 The Tigers have won their first five games this season by double digits.<\/p>\n

Everyone is definitely talking about the defense, as it ranks second in allowing just 258.6 yards per game ,while allowing just 90.4 rushing yards.<\/p>\n

Offensively, the team is averaging 349.6 yards per game, led by quarterback Jarrett Lee who is completing 59.3 percent of his passes for 793 yards and seven touchdowns with just a single interception.<\/p>\n

LSU has forced 12 turnovers this year and turned them into nine scoring drives, which includes eight touchdowns.\u00a0 The program has won 14 straight games when winning the turnover battle and is 30-4 under Les Miles when that occurs.<\/p>\n

Many were surprised with the return of Jordan Jefferson, as the signal caller got into last week\u2019s game, after being suspended before the season due to a fight outside of a local bar.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will use Jefferson in a variety of ways,\u201d Miles commented. \u201cAt different times in the season, we will need every skill and every collective attribute on this team.”<\/p>\n

LSU is 15-3 when playing as the No. ranked team in the country, including a 3-2 mark during the Miles era.<\/p>\n

Bettors will likely back the Gators due to their 8-2 ATS mark following a straight-up loss, while the Tigers are 1-6 ATS as a home favorite of 10.5 or more points.<\/p>\n
