overall with a 48-21 win over Army last week as four-point home underdogs and the team’s offense was running on all cylinders in amassing 545 yards of total offense. “Defense, offense, out kickoff team pinned them back. It was kind of a dominating half,” commented Cardinals safety Sean Baker. The current start is the fourth-best in school history and quarterback Keith Wenning is enjoying every moment. He passed for a career-high 324 yards in last week’s win, while also tying career marks with 24 completions and three touchdown passes. Ball State is 1-5 ATS versus Big 12 Conference opponents.

The Cardinals have converted on 17-of-17 trips inside the red zone this season, scoring 103 points in those opportunities. Ball State is averaging 232.5 passing yards and 155.8 rushing yards per game, while allowing 205 passing yards and 207.2 rushing yards. The defense has gotten after opposing quarterbacks this year in registering eight sacks in its first four games. Ball State will be playing its highest-ranked opponent in school history on Saturday.

Oklahoma will be meeting Ball State for the first time and will be mixing it up with a Mid-American Conference team for just the fourth time in school history. The Sooners last such contest came in 2004, a 40-24 win over Bowling Green, which was also running back Adrian Peterson’s first game. The team is 2-1 ATS on the year, coming away with a 38-28 win over Missouri as 20-point home favorites last week, which was a flat performance off a prime-time victory over Florida State. Oklahoma is 8-5 ATS at home the last two-plus seasons and the ‘under’ is 9-4 in those contests.

The Sooners have won a school record 38 consecutive home games, which is the longest current streak in the nation. Oklahoma has outscored opponents by an incredible 1,128 points over that span. Through three games, the offense has been balanced with 129 passing attempts and 124 rushing attempts. Quarterback Landry Jones set a school record with his 15th career 300-yard passing game, while he also ranks No. 8 in total offense and No. 8 in touchdowns. His main weapon continues to be wide receiver Ryan Broyles, who already has 34 catches for 367 yards this season.

Bettors will likely back the Cardinals due to their 13-4 ATS record as a road underdog of 10.5 or more points, while the Sooners are 5-6 ATS in non-conference action.

Don’t miss out on a winning
