South Carolina Gamecocks, which will serve as the third meeting for the two schools in the last 372 days. Auburn and South Carolina have met 10 times, with the Tigers holding an 8-1-1 all-time advantage, including wins in the last six meetings. The team has won 17 of its last 18 games, including a 30-14 win over Florida Atlantic last week as 31-point home favorites. It happened to be the only game that the team has won from a statistical perspective. Auburn is 6-3 ATS as an underdog and 6-4 ATS in October.

The Tigers have tallied an 8-2 record against ranked teams under head coach Gene Chizik, while also posting a 5-4 record in true road games under his direction. Auburn will be playing four consecutive games in the month against teams currently ranked in the AP Top 20. The team has a great chance to pull off the upset if it can stay relatively close on the scoreboard, posting a 25-8 record in games decided by four points or less since the start of the 2000 campaign.

South Carolina is off to its first 4-0 start under head coach Steve Spurrier and he’ll be looking to beat Auburn for the first time in five tries while being at the program. The Gamecocks have lost five consecutive games in this series since a 28-6 win in the 2000 SEC Championship Game. The program has done a great job of taking advantage of playing at home, posting an 16-2 record in its last 18 games in front of the home faithful. The Gamecocks allowed 91 points to the Tigers in two meetings a season ago, dropping a 35-27 contest on the road as three-point underdogs and a 56-17 defeat in SEC title game as four-point neutral-site underdogs.

The Gamecocks have a major weapon in running back Marcus Lattimore, who is averaging 152.7 yards per game. He had one of the best rushing performances in school history two weeks ago, gaining 246 yards on 37 carries versus Navy. Quarterback Stephen Garcia will be looking for his first win against Auburn, going 0-2, while completing 31-of-49 passes for 405 yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions. He has thrown for 7,437 yards in his career on campus. The Gamecocks have used the same starting five on the offensive line in each of the four games this season, as the unit has combined for 90 starts.

Bettors will likely back the Tigers due to their 10-1 ATS mark in conference games, while the Gamecocks are 1-4 ATS at home.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux
