The Chicago White Sox continue a six-game road trip this afternoon and are 29-20 since May 7, tied with Detroit for the third-best record in the American League over that span.\u00a0 The White Sox have won 13 of 18 in this series against the Cubs, including four of six at Wrigley Field.\u00a0 \u201cWe just hope to keep doing what we\u2019ve been doing against them,\u201d White Sox outfielder Brent Lillibridge stated.\u00a0 The club has relished the opportunity of playing interleague action on the road, winning nine straight series against AL opponents away from Wrigley Field.\u00a0 A trip to Wrigley may also help outfielder Adam Dunn, who has hit 25 home runs in 66 career games here, tied for most by an active visiting player.<\/p>\n

White Sox starting pitcher Edwin Jackson is 4-6 with a 4.13 ERA in 15 starts this season and is looking for his first victory since May 22.\u00a0 The right-hander is coming off a solid performance in a no-decision effort, tossing seven shutout innings and scattering five hits against the Nationals at home.\u00a0 The right-hander has a losing 2-4 mark and 6.07 ERA in seven road outings, as opponents are hitting .316 against him.\u00a0 In three lifetime starts versus the Cubs, Jackson is 0-2 with a 8.44 ERA, allowing eight runs on 11 hits in four career innings at today\u2019s venue.<\/p>\n

The Chicago Cubs have enjoyed consecutive walk-off victories for the first time since June 18-20, 2009.\u00a0 The Cubs took two of three from the defending World Champion San Francisco Giants, including a 5-2 win Thursday.\u00a0 Entering today\u2019s matchup, the club is 4-8 against the AL this season and owns a 102-115 all-time mark during interleague play.\u00a0 It\u2019s also important to point out that the team was 12-14 last July after going 18-9 during the month the previous year.\u00a0 The Cubs have also out-homered their opponent, 31-17, since June 8.\u00a0 Chicago is 9-25 following a victory this season.<\/p>\n

Cubs starting pitcher Randy Wells is 1-2 with a 6.25 ERA in seven starts this season and will look to improve upon his 2-4 mark and 5.50 ERA in nine interleague outings.\u00a0 The right-hander dropped a 6-3 road contest to the Royals last time out, giving up a season-high six runs and 10 hits over six frames.\u00a0 Wells has an even 1-1 mark and 4.91 ERA in four home starts, which is much better than his 0-1 record and 8.36 ERA on the road.\u00a0 In two career outings versus the White Sox, he has tallied a 1-1 mark and 5.25 ERA.<\/p>\n
