night in Baltimore, but will still be looking to record its 22nd win in 29 games at Camden Yards Sunday. “We missed a golden opportunity with the bases loaded and nobody out, to their credit,” said Blue Jays manager John Farrell. “But the difference tonight is one swing of the bat by Reynolds.” First baseman Adam Lind returned to the lineup Saturday after spending time on the disabled list due to lower back stifness. He hit in the four hole and was hitless in three at-bats. “It’s obviously good to have Adam Lind’s name in the lineup tonight,” Farrell stated. “He was leading the American League in RBIs at the time.” Toronto is 10-14 versus division opponents this year and 8-15 in day games.

Blue Jays starting pitcher Jo-Jo Reyes has compiled a 1-4 record and 4.15 ERA in 11 starts this season. The left-hander is coming off his first victory of the season, posting an 11-1 complete game home victory, scattering eight hits and striking out four. Reyes is winless in six road starts, coming in with an 0-3 mark and 4.28 ERA, as opponents are hitting .316 against him. The former second-round selection has made five daytime starts and has notched a winless 0-4 record and 5.96 ERA. Sunday afternoon will be his first career appearances against the Orioles.

Baltimore received a grand slam by third baseman Mark Reynolds in the sixth inning to pick up Saturday’s victory. “I know it felt pretty good to him,” Orioles manager Buck Showalter said of Reynolds. He entered Saturday a career .115 hitter with the bases loaded, going 6-for-52 with 26 strikeouts. The club has scored two runs or fewer in seven of Guthrie’s 11 starts this season, managing none four times. First baseman Derek Lee hopes to help the offense by getting back into the starting lineup, coming off the disabled list last night. Lee had two hits in four at-bats and scored two runs. Nine of the last 10 games the Orioles have played in have been decided by two runs or less. Baltimore is 8-13 versus division opponents this year.

Orioles starting pitcher Jeremy Guthrie is 2-7 with a 3.24 ERA in 12 appearances (11 starts) and is coming off a disappointing loss last time out. He dropped a 3-2 road decision in Seattle despite giving up just three runs (zero earned) and five hits over eight strong innings. The right-hander has registered a 1-3 record and 3.23 ERA in seven home outings. His daytime ERA is 5.40 ERA in 30 innings of work compared to a 1.80 ERA at night in 45 frames. In 15 career outings versus the Blue Jays, he has posted a 2-6 record and 3.44 ERA, including an 0-2 mark and 3.12 ERA in four starts last season.

Bettors will be interested in backing the Blue Jays due to their 5-2 record in road games versus a right-handed starter,
