{"id":11900,"date":"2010-12-26T12:33:20","date_gmt":"2010-12-26T17:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.madduxsports.com\/blog\/?p=11900"},"modified":"2010-12-26T21:32:55","modified_gmt":"2010-12-27T02:32:55","slug":"tuesday-night-nfl-pick-eagles-vs-vikings-game-preview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.madduxsports.com\/blog\/tuesday-night-nfl-pick-eagles-vs-vikings-game-preview-11900\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuesday Night NFL Pick: Eagles Vs Vikings Game Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA<br \/>\nTuesday, December 28, 2010, 8:00 pm EST, TV: NBC<br \/>\nOpening Line: Eagles -14<br \/>\nCurrent Line: Eagles -14.5<br \/>\nOpening Total: 36.5<br \/>\nCurrent Total: 39.5<br \/>\nMoney Line: Eagles -1000 \/ Vikings +700<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3949\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3949\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3949  \" src=\"https:\/\/www.madduxsports.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/adrian-peterson-vikings-28282-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"Eagles Vikings NFL Preview\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.madduxsports.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/adrian-peterson-vikings-28282-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.madduxsports.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/adrian-peterson-vikings-28282.jpg 495w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3949\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Minnesota RB Adrian Peterson hopes to return after missing last week&#039;s game with a thigh bruise<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Philadelphia Eagles (10-4) will go for their seventh win in eight games when they host the injury-plagued Minnesota Vikings (5-9) on Tuesday Night Football.\u00a0 The Eagles (-17) have been virtually perfect in their last seven games outside of a 31-26 loss at Chicago in Week 12, completing a sweep of the New York Giants with an unbelievable comeback victory last week.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia trailed New York 31-10 with 8:17 remaining but pulled off the win with the help of a successful onside kick recovery and capped by DeSean Jackson\u2019s 65-yard punt return for the game-winning touchdown with no time left on the clock, resulting in an improbable 38-31 victory.\u00a0 The Eagles lead the Giants by one game in the race for the NFC East title and will win the division with a win here or loss by New York earlier in the day at Green Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Quarterback Michael Vick has thrown two touchdown passes or more in each of the last four games for Philly, including three through the air and one on the ground last week against the Giants.\u00a0 Vick passed for 242 yards and ran for 130 while wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was on the receiving end of two of his touchdown throws.<\/p>\n<p>This was supposed to be Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre\u2019s 300th consecutive start, but that NFL record came to an end two weeks ago as he was unable to go against the Giants due to a shoulder injury.\u00a0 Favre made a surprise start last Monday night in the home finale for the Vikings against the Bears outdoors at the University  of Minnesota\u2019s TCF Bank Stadium, but he did not last long in an eventual 40-14 loss.\u00a0\u00a0 Favre suffered a concussion on a sack in the second quarter and was replaced by rookie Joe Webb, who had prepared to start all week leading up to the game.<\/p>\n<p>Webb is now expected to make his first career start after throwing two interceptions in relief last week, although Minnesota head coach Leslie Frazier has yet to rule Favre out even though he is doubtful to play.\u00a0 The Vikings are hoping to have running back Adrian Peterson back after he missed the loss to Chicago with a thigh bruise.\u00a0 Peterson is listed as questionable and will be replaced again by rookie Toby Gerhart if he does not play.\u00a0 Gerhart rushed for 77 yards on 16 carries against the Bears.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota has lost the last five meetings with Philadelphia both straight-up and against the spread with the total going UNDER in three of the past four games between the teams.\u00a0 The Vikings are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall while the OVER has cashed in four straight for the Eagles along with nine of 10.<\/p>\n<p>If you are betting this Sunday Night Football game between the Eagles &amp;
