The San Antonio Spurs are off to the best start in franchise history and will be facing a revenge-minded opponent on Friday night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dallas won three of four regular season meetings against the Spurs last year before being eliminated by the them in the playoffs.\u00a0 The Mavericks picked up a 111-103 victory at Oklahoma City in their last game, overcoming a seven-point deficit that was sparked by the great play of forward Dirk Nowitzki.\u00a0 He scored 34 points in the victory and enters tonight\u2019s game as the second-leading scorer in the NBA at 26.4 points per game, shooting a career-high 53.6 percent from the field.\u00a0 \u201cThe thing I like about this team is that they never quit on a situation,\u201d said head coach Rick Carlisle.\u00a0 \u201cThey keep encouraging each other and we just looked for good things to happen.\u201d\u00a0 Dallas is 6-0 ATS on the road this season and the NBA lines page has them as an underdog.<\/p>\n
