The Kansas City Chiefs (6-4) will be hoping to build off their first win in three games and maintain their lead in the AFC West when they visit the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks (5-5) on Sunday.\u00a0 The problem is that the Chiefs (-2) are just 1-4 away from home this season and face a team in the Seahawks that is 3-1 straight-up and against the spread at Qwest Field.<\/p>\n

Kansas City is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings with former AFC West rival Seattle, but the teams have faced each other only once since 2002.\u00a0 The Chiefs are coming off a 31-13 rout of an Arizona team that was crushed 36-18 at home by the Seahawks a week earlier.\u00a0 Kansas City had lost back-to-back divisional road games at Denver and Oakland the previous two weeks but bounced back behind a balanced offensive attack.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs got 159 yards rushing and two touchdowns against the Cardinals from running backs Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones while quarterback Matt Cassel threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns, both going to wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.\u00a0 Cassel has thrown only one interception since Week 3 against San Francisco with 14 touchdown passes in the last six games.<\/p>\n

Seattle is coming off a 34-19 loss at New Orleans last week despite 366 passing yards from quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who is playing with two cracks in his left wrist.\u00a0 That total was Hasselbeck\u2019s best in six years, although he may have to face Kansas City without his leading receiver Mike Williams.\u00a0 One of the top contenders for Comeback Player of the Year, Williams suffered a foot injury late against the Saints and might not play.\u00a0 He had made 17 catches for 254 yards in two games since Hasselbeck returned to action.<\/p>\n

The Seahawks need to do a better job of running the ball after rushing for an average of 66 yards in the last four games.\u00a0 Running back Marshawn Lynch was expected to be a bigger contributor since coming over in a trade from Buffalo, but he has failed to run for more than 89 yards in six games with the team, totaling 48 yards or less on the ground five times.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs are giving up 28 points per game on the road this season, which is 14.6 more than they are allowing at home.\u00a0 The OVER is 3-0 in their last three road games and 3-0 in Seattle\u2019s last three overall.<\/p>\n
