The New York Giants (6-2) dealt the Dallas Cowboys (1-7) a devastating loss three weeks ago when they knocked out quarterback Tony Romo in a 41-35 road win on Monday Night Football.\u00a0 Now the heavily favored Giants (-13.5) look to keep pace with Atlanta for the top record in the NFC and leave the Cowboys in the dust in the race for the NFC East division title.<\/p>\n

With the Falcons beating Baltimore 26-21 on Thursday, New York needs to win in order to match their record and stay ahead of Philadelphia in the division.\u00a0 The Eagles visit Washington on Monday night and then host the Giants the following week.\u00a0 New York is riding a five-game winning streak \u2013 going 4-1 against the spread \u2013 following a 41-7 rout of Seattle on the road last week.<\/p>\n

The Giants have started to roll offensively, scoring 28 points or more in each of their last four games and averaging 36 points during that stretch to earn the status as the highest-scoring team in the NFC.\u00a0 They rank fourth overall in the NFL with 27 points per game and are one of the most balanced teams in the league, averaging 249.1 passing yards and 151.9 rushing yards.<\/p>\n

New York quarterback Eli Manning deserves a lot of credit for the team\u2019s play of late with a passer rating of over 100 in each of the last three games.\u00a0 Manning has thrown nine touchdown passes and three interceptions in those games after tossing eight and eight combined in the previous five games.\u00a0 Only San Diego\u2019s Philip Rivers and New Orleans\u2019 Drew Brees have thrown more touchdown passes, although each of them has played one more game than him.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Dallas will have a new head coach on the sidelines in offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, who replaces Wade Phillips after he was fired on Monday.\u00a0 The Cowboys quite simply showed no fire under Phillips and have been especially disappointing on defense, surrendering an average of more than 35 points per game in their last five.\u00a0 Former Syracuse head coach Paul Pasqualoni takes over the defensive coordinator duties for Phillips and will have a tough task in trying to limit the high-scoring Giants.<\/p>\n

The OVER has cashed in five straight games overall for Dallas and three in a row for New York.\u00a0 The OVER has also cashed in the last three meetings between the teams and four of the last five, with the winner scoring at least 31 points in all but one of those games.<\/p>\n
