continues to be disrespected by the college football experts and sits on the outside looking in for the BCS Championship Game. The Broncos are currently ranked No.4 in both the AP poll and USA Today Coaches’ Poll and will now face off against an in-state rival on national television tonight. The team has done nothing wrong this season by winning all of its scheduled games, including a dominating 42-7 win last week at home versus Hawaii, picking up a school-record 732 total yards of offense. “It was a complete team effort,” said head coach Chris Petersen. “All three phases were good.” That’s been the case for the entire season with Boise State being the only team in the country that ranks in top five nationally in both total offense (543.50) and total defense (231.38). It’s also important to note that the squad is ranked second in both scoring offense and defense. Boise State if 6-2 ATS as a favorite of 31 or more points and the college football lines page is up and running to monitor this spread.

The Broncos will be playing its 40th non-Saturday game in school history tonight, posting a 33-6 all-time record in those games, including a 31-2 mark in the regular season. The high-powered offense has a good chance of making it a comfortable margin of victory against the Vandals, considering they’ve averaged 57.2 points in the last six meetings against them. In fact, Idaho surrendered 844 yards in last week’s 63-17 loss to Nevada. Defensively, Boise State has allowed just 15 red zone opportunities thus far in 2010.

Idaho will need to regroup in a hurry in order to avoid being blown out at home for the second consecutive week after allowing more than 800 yards of offense to the Nevada Wolf Pack. The Vandals were out-gained by a 225-2 margin in the first quarter and trailed 28-3 at the half. “We didn’t execute,” senior quarterback Nathan Enderle stated. “You can’t do that against a good team.” All focus is now on trying to win two more games on the schedule, as the squad is 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the Western Athletic Conference. Idaho does have the advantage of playing back-to-back home games for the only time on its schedule tonight at the Kibbie Dome. The program is 10-24 ATS in November.

The Vandals are going to need turnovers to remain competitive in this contest and grab cash for backers, which bring a very important statistic to the table. Idaho is tied with North Carolina State for the national lead in fumble recoveries with 14 in nine games. Idaho also ranks among the top schools in the nation in the following categories: passing offense (4th), red zone defense (13th) and third-down conversion defense (24th). None of it may matter against a quality opponent like Boise, as they’ve been outscored by an average of 31.9 points in losing all 16 games to Top 25 opponents since 1996.

Bettors will find that the Broncos are 13-3 ATS as a road favorite, while the Vandals are 8-24 ATS in their last 32 conference games.

The college football handicappers at Maddux Sports are ready to roll out a ton of winners this weekend with a full card on
