Here’s a quick look at some of Saturday’s bigger games.

Iowa (-6 ½) vs. Michigan State– The Hawks opened as 4 point favorites, but books have bumped that up to 6 ½ points. The public is playing Michigan State at better than 60%. The Spartans are looking to keep their perfect season alive, along with any hopes of playing for a national championship. They’ve been great in close games, and their special teams were the difference against Notre Dame and Northwestern. Speaking of special teams, Iowa’s have been terrible. They cost the Hawks the game out in Tucson and last week against Wisconsin. Iowa has a chance to play the spoiler. Last season, the Hawks won in East Lansing on the final play of the game.

Auburn (-7) at Ole Miss– The Auburn Tigers started as an 8 ½ point road favorite at Mississippi, but the line has come down to 7 points at most sites. The squares are backing Gene Chizek’s team at nearly 80%, which means the sharps are playing Ole Miss. The Tigers have earned the top spot in the BCS, much more than Oklahoma did. Auburn has beaten several quality opponents, and Cam Newton has been Heisman worthy. But they’ve had trouble on the road, narrowly beating Mississippi State and Kentucky. Ole Miss is coming off tough road losses at Alabama and Arkansas, so Auburn’s talent and size won’t intimidate the Rebels.

Oklahoma State (-4 ½) at Kansas State – The Cowboys opened as 6 point road favorites against Kansas State, and over the course of the week the line has come down to 4 ½ points. The public is backing the Cowboys at better than 2:1, which means this line has solid reverse action. OK State’s perfect season was ruined by Nebraska last week. The Cowboy defense gave up 51 points at home, and they have their work cut out for them against Daniel Thomas. Kansas State lost a high scoring game to the Baylor Bears in Waco. The Wildcats are always a tough draw in Manhattan, where Bill Snyder is the unofficial mayor.

Nebraska (-7 ½) vs. Missouri– The Huskers started as 6 point home favorites, and the line jumped to 7 ½ points early and has remained steady. The public is split 50/50. The Big Red looks to take down another undefeated team. They hung 51 points on Oklahoma State last week, but the defense gave up 41. Nebraska needs to remember how to tackle. They get a Tiger team on a roll. Mizzou handled Oklahoma at home, handing the former BCS #1 team its first loss of the season. Now they have to travel to Lincoln to play another top notch team. It’ll be hard for the team to get up two weeks in a row.

Utah (-7) at Air Force– This line has been rock steady all week. The Utes opened as 7 point road favorites and the line hasn’t budged, despite the public playing the road team at nearly 90%. Utah has been impressive all season, but they’ve played an incredibly weak schedule. They get into the meat of their schedule now. They get Air Force and have games against Notre Dame, TCU, BYU, and San Diego State. Air Force looked good early in the season, but they’ve struggled lately. A win against Utah could turn around the Falcons’ season. If the triple option gets rolling, look out.

Oregon (-6 ½) at USC– The Ducks started as 6 point road favorites, and after going up to 7 points, some buy back on USC has brought the line back down to 6 ½ points. The squares like the Ducks at better than 70%. Oregon’s prolific offense gets to line up against one of the most disappointing defenses in all of college football. The Trojan D has been gashed by almost everyone they’ve played. But USC is coming off the bye, which means Monte Kiffin has had an extra week to motivate his defense and scheme for Oregon’s unique offensive style. The USC offense has been good all year. If they’re able to get out in front of Oregon, they might have enough firepower to hold onto the lead and spoil the Ducks’ national championship hopes.

If you are betting on the Saturday games be sure to check out the college football sports picks we have to offer. Maddux Sports is releasing our 20 unit pac ten game of the year. We have hit 83% of our 20 unit plays this season and will nail another on Saturday!

The opening lines for another week of college football have seen some notable movement.
