Eight teams are left in the 2010 World Cup, and the South American nations have been dominating so far. While (usual) European powerhouses France and Italy made their exits in the group stage, four South American teams are still in the competition: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
Arrivederci Italia! Bye-bye defending champions! Italy completed a disappointing World Cup run with a 3-2 loss to Slovakia. They used to have one of the best defenses in the world, but they looked shaky at best this year.
Day 11 of the World Cup will give Spain their chance to redeem themselves after a shocking loss to Switzerland in their opener. More on that later.
We will see Group G and H complete the second leg of the group stage, and we will go to four matches per day starting Tuesday.
