With about one week left in the NBA season, it’s worth noting that the Detroit Pistons have managed to win 50 or more games in six straight seasons. In those six seasons the teams best record was in 2005-06 when they earned 64 wins and garnered 18 loses. They also scored an average of 96.8 PPG. This year’s fiftieth win occurred in New York, when the Pistons beat the Knicks 91- 83. If the pistons win tonight against the Orlando Magic, they will secure the best record in the Eastern Conference and home court advantage for the conference playoffs.

With his left shoulder still healing from being dislocated, the Heats’ start guard Dwayne Wade to the court to scrimmage. Wade is trying to come back for the playoffs and has decided to eschew surgery for the time being. Wade, in his fourth season was injured in Houston on February 21. Prior to being hurt, he averaged 38.9 MPG, 28.8 PPG and 7.9 APG over 46 games. He was putting in the best offensive output of his career. The player hopes to return for a few games prior to the playoffs.

Dwayne Wade is down and out with a shoulder injury, which means that the Miami Heat’s go-to guy become Shaquille O’Neal. Although the Heat are the NBA Champions, they have struggled to get back to the playoffs this year. O’Neal was out earlier in the season, which put a strain on the team.
