Participants/Overview: The 2009 Pac Ten Tournament will be hosted at the Staples Center and will welcome all 10 teams from the conference. The field is wide open and should be one of the most entertaining conference tournaments remaining this year. Right now it looks like the top 5 seeds are scheduled to get at large bids with the Arizona Wildcats barley hanging on to their at large bid. Because of that, the best game of the tournament figures to be the quarterfinal matchup between #4 Seeded Arizona State and #5 seed Arizona. Arizona needs another big win to cement their tournament status as at-large worthy.
The Washington Huskies shocked the league earned the top seed posting a 14-4 conference record. Washington led the Pac-10 in scoring offense averaging close to 80 points per game. Even though they led the league in scoring margin the Huskies haven't gotten the respect they deserve as most pundits have the regular season PAC 10 champ as a projected 3 seed in the 2009 Mens Hoops Tournament. Sometimes to seeds in major conference tournaments tend to letdown but with Washington being very young and playing with a chip on their shoulder because of the no respect card Washington will likely be a tough out.
Our pick to win the 2009 pacific ten tournament will be the UCLA Bruins. Ben Howland's club is under the radar in terms of the national and local media. This is a team with final four talent and coaching. we expect the Bruins to start their run right here to build momentum heading into the march madness tourney.

UCLA Bruins. The #1 seeded (#2 AP Rank) UCLA Bruins used a 22-8
run in the second half to secure a win over 2 seeded Stanford and
their 2nd Pac Ten Conference Tournament Championship in the last
3 seasons.
The Bruins were led by all world guard Darren Collison who scored 28 points while playing the entire game. This was the 3rd time UCLA defeated Stanford on the season. Stanford was going for their first tournament title since 1994. Future lottery pick Brook Lopez led the Cardinal with 15 points while Anthony Goods chipped in 13 points.
This win would secure a #1 seed in the WEST bracket for the Bruins and propel them to the 2008 final four where they lost to eventual national champion runner up Memphis.
