Participants/Overview: The 2007 Conference USA Tournament takes place at the FedEx Forum in Memphis Tennessee. All 12 of the conf-usa colleges are competing for the 1 automatic bid to the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament. As usual with a 12 team conference tournament, the top 4 records in the regular season standings will be awarded first round byes.
2007 Conference USA Tournament News, well lets see there is Memphis and than there is Memphis. This is a 1 bid league unless some other conference usa school can find a way to knock off the defending conference usa champion Memphis Tigers.
John Calapari has his club playing great basketball, getting double digit win after double digit win, home or road, it hasn't mattered as Memphis has been dominating everyone in conference usa the schedule has put in front of them. Maybe the Houston Cougars, UCF Golden Knights, or Mike Davis' UAB Blazers can challenge the Tigers once they get them on a neutral court, but even so this tourney is held in Memphis' backyard and should be easy pickens. Often in times like this point spreads become very inflated giving sports handicappers like Maddux Sports, pick opportunities that are very strong. TV: The first rounds of the tournament will only be viewed by local tv audiences. Rounds 2 & 3 will be available on CSTV, with the conference usa tournament championship game being televised on CBS at 11:30 eastern time on Saturday the 10th.

Memphis Tigers. The number 1 seeded Tigers cruised through the
2006 bracket beating all 3 opponents (Tulane, Houston & UAB)
by double digit margins. To say it was easy was an understatement.
