Participants/Overview: The 2007 Big 12 Conference Basketball Tournament will be very important to a number of teams on the bubble, and the Big 12 has plenty of teams on the bubble. Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech. The Big 12 won't be sending all 4 of these teams to the tournament, more than likely 2 of them, with the realistic probability of 4 teams from the conference going dancing. This is contingent on the selection committee not granting the entire ACC conference with at-large bids.
2007 Big 12 Basketball Tournament news, Kansas, Texas A&M, & Texas are already in but will be trying to win the tournament in hopes of a number 1 seed in the 2007 Mens National Championship Tournament. Kasas has the best resume for a number 1 seed while A&M will likely need Wisconsin and Ohio State not winning the Big Ten championship for that to happen.

TV: ESPN will be pretty much be covering the entire Big 12 Championship Tournament. Depending on where you live, locally games will be carried on ESPN Plus stations, with national viewers being able to pick up Big 12 tournament games on ESPNU & ESPN2, please check the bracket for game by game tv listings. For sure the championship game will be played at 3:00 eastern time televised on ESPN.

Last Years Winner
Kansas Jayhawks. After squeaking by Oklahoma State in the first
round, it was smoothing sailing for the Jayhawks the rest of the
way. Kansas beat number 1 seeded Texas in the final to win the
Big 12 championship. In addition they avenged a 25 point loss
suffered by Texas earlier in the season. Kansas won the Phillips
Big 12 Title for the 4th time in the 10 year history of the event.
This was their 15th win in 16th games and they were rolling into
the tournament. That momentum didn't last long as they were ousted
by Bradley in the first round. A movement that put a lot of smiles
on peoples faces including yours truly.
