Participants/Overview: The 2007 Atlantic Ten Tournament allows all twelve teams from the A-10 to compete. As with all of the conference tournaments the champion receives a guaranteed bid into the Mens NCAA Bracket Tournament. The top 4 teams in the conference are granted an all important bye.

2007 Atlantic 10 Tournament News, at the time of publish the conference is likely to only get 1 or 2 bids max. If Xavier was to have a good showing in the tournament but lose in the finals their season resume is likely warranting an at-large bid on selection Sunday. If the Musketeers win the Atlantic Ten tournament championship, it is hard to make a case for another team to gain entry into the big dance.

The 2 hopefulls for an at large bid are GW & Umass. Even though George Washington & Massachusetts are in the middle of the conference standings they are in our opinion and according to the college basketball game odds the second and third best teams in the conference. Whether either one of these 2 teams can pad their tournament resume to be solid enough for an at large bid is still questionable. Stay with us through February until March for college basketball predictions on upcoming games in the A-10 conference as well as picks on the Atlantic 10 basketball tournament.

TV: The first two rounds are only available through local affiliates, although check the cstv website as some games may be viewable through the internet. The 2 semifinal games will be on CSTV with the Atlantic 10 Championship being televised on ESPN TV at 6:00 eastern time, March 10th.

Last Years Winner
Xavier Musketeers. It was a block party! In one of the most exciting games of the 2006 season Xavier blocked 5 of St. Joes last 6 six shots to hold on. After losing their leading scorer and kicking their starting point guard off the team in February, the Musketeers put it all together for a marvelous 4 day run to claim the title as the 10 seed! It was the third A-10 Conference Title for Xavier in the last 5 years. St. Joes has now lost in the championship game the last 2 years. The Musketeers' magical run would come to an end in the first round of the NCAA tournament as Xavier was defeated by Gonzaga 79-75 in another great tournament game.
