Week 3 Monday Night Football Preview and Free Pick

Fresh off a wallet stuffing 4-1 Sunday with our members nfl picks, Maddux Sports has released its Monday Night Football members pick and also a free preview of tonights game with a free play included below.

After being destroyed by the massive power of Hurricane Katrina, the Louisiana Superdome will once again be reopen tonight to a sold out capacity of fired up Saint fanatics as the New Orleans Saints host their division rival Atlanta Falcons in the first game since Hurricane Katrina raveled the city.

Tonight’s Monday Night Football game would have been special enough regardless of the teams records, but who could have anticipated that both the Saints and Falcons would be a perfect 2-0 heading into the game?

The Saints have built off the buzz of rookie running back Reggie Bush with wins over the Cleveland Browns and the Green Bay Packers the first 2 weeks of the season. Bush has not been particularly effective running the ball picking up only 73 yards on 21 carries but has been a force as a receiver grabbing 15 receptions for 120 yards through his first 2 career games. The Saints starting running back Deuce McAllister has brought solid production out of the backfield with 137 yards rushing on 34 carries and a pair of touchdowns. McAllister has also fumbled twice in 2 games and will need to hold onto the ball for the Saints to grab the cash in tonight contest.

Off-season pickup quarterback Drew Brees, has completed 42 of 71 passes for 523 yards in the two victories with three touchdown passes and a QB Rating of 84.4. Brees has also threw 2 picks and fumbled the ball 3 times in his first 2 games as a member of the Saints.

Atlanta’s is lead by QB Michael Vick who is on a mission to secure respect both for himself and his Falcon teammates. Atlanta has started out red hot with striking wins over the superbowl contender Carolina Panthers and division rival Tampa Bay Bucs, scoring 34 points combined while allowing a scanty nine points in the 2 victories.

As usual the Falcons are getting in done on the ground and lead the league with an impressive average of 279 yards rushing per game. Vick has rushed 21 times for 175 yards and one TD, while RB Warrick Dunn is off to an moving start with 50 carries for 266 yards in just two games.

These 2 teams met twice last season with Atlanta scoring a pair of victories 36-17 and 34-31. Both contests were high scoring affairs resulting in bettors with the over cashing tickets. This game is set with a total of 44 and we like the high scoring trend to continue and predict an over in tonight’s ball game.

The current line on the side is Atlanta -4. Maddux Sports will look to continue our hot streak and you can get signed up for our members pick on the purchase page and end your week on a positive note.
