The Chiefs had 34 catches in the game for an average of 10.7 yards per reception. Defensively, Steven Nelson had nine solo tackles and Dee Ford came up with the lone sack. Tyreek Hill returned three punts for 35 yards with a long of 14-yards, and kicker Cairo Santos was 2 of 2 on FGA with a long of 47-yards while going 3 of 3 on his extra points. In the backfield, Lamar Miller carried 28 times for 106 yards. Only Osweiler had any other carries of significance with four rushes for 14 yards. Alfred Blue, Tyler Ervin and Jay Prosch all carried just once apiece. Former Ohio State Buckeye Braxton Miller caught one pass for six yards in the game, but is an interesting receiving target for the Texans if they seek to get him more involved.

John Simon had six tackles, five solo and one sack along with two QB hits for the defense. Max Bullough, Kareem Jackson and Benardrick McKinney all had five tackles, with Bullough getting all his unassisted. Whitney Mercilus had two sacks and AJ Bouye added another, as the Texans came up with five sacks in the game. Andre Hal had an interception, as well.

Tyler Ervin did a fine job returning kicks for the Texans with three for 73 yards and a long of 28-yards. He also returned three punts for 29 total yards with a long of 13 yards. Nick Novak hit all three of his FGA and both his extra points to go 100 percent for the game, while punter Shane Lechier averaged 48.6 per punt on five attempts with a long of 60-yards and one pinned inside the 20.
