Rangers Acquire Carlos Lee from Milwaukee

Let the big name deals begin as the trade deadline approaches.  Carlos Lee, after declining a 4 year 48 million dollar deal offered by Milwaukee yesterday, was dealt to Texas Rangers in a multi player deal.  The Texas Rangers in addition to Lee will recieve prospect Nelson Cruz, while the Brewers will get relief pitcher Francisco Cordero, OF Kevin Mench, OF Layne Nix, and minor league prospect Julian Cordero.

Lee will bring offense to Texas in the form of his 28 home runs and 88 RBI good for 5th best in the National League.  Carlos Lee has hit atleast 30 homers in each of the last 3 seasons, and should help the Rangers in their hunt for the AL West Division.  Stay tuned for more MLB Trades as big names like Alfonso Soriano and Bobby Abreau are still rumored to be moved.
