NHL – Ottawa Senators Versus Anaheim Ducks

So here we go. Neither team has ever won the Cup. Okay, cool. So, who is going to take it?

Well, looking at what the scribes, handicappers and pundits think—they are all split.

Let’s look at goaltending. Emery versus Giguere. Giguere has a 1.87 GAA and a .931 SV%. Emery possesses a 1.96 GAA and a .919 SV %. Okay—who is better? Emery, younger and perhaps with more refined tools, may be the man to which to look.

Depth goes to the work horse Ducks. They have a slight edge.

Pronger and Niedermeyer are both on the Ducks. That is a scary thought, especially if they can be consistent. Ottawa captain Alfredsson, that determined Swede, has been tough to stop. Heatley and Spezza have been spectacular.

Pahlsson-Niedermayer-Moen versus the Senators. The big “D against the “O of Ottawa. Could go either way.

The Ducks have been inconsistent on defense while the offense for the Senators has been tough to stop.

This should be a great finals match-up.
