The Pittsburgh Steelers have alternated wins and losses in all seven games this season

Indianapolis is enjoying a 5-0 SUATS run, which includes a 27-0 blowout victory over the Cincinnati Bengals as three-point home favorites last Sunday, while winning the statistical battle by a triple-digit margin in all of those affairs.  The Colts are capable of beating any team in the league with third-year quarterback Andrew Luck, which is important to consider when making your Week 8 NFL betting picks, as he’s thrown for 2,331 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2014.  Indianapolis is 8-2 SUATS in October the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 5-4-1 in that situation.

The Colts have been balanced offensively with a running game that has averaged 134.8 yards per game since Week 2, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NFL betting odds, while Luck has managed to pass for 300-plus yards in five consecutive affairs.  Indianapolis has also played brilliantly on the defensive end during its current win streak, with opposing teams gaining just 271.8 yards per game over that span.  A lot of that success in terms of the stop unit is directly linked with tallying 20 sacks in that time period.

Pittsburgh has alternated wins and losses over its seven games this season, as it looks to build off a 30-23 victory over the Houston Texans as three-point home favorites on Monday Night Football.  The Steelers need to rely heavily on running back Le’Veon Bell in this matchup, as he ranks second in the NFL with 134.0 yards per game from scrimmage, which will help ease the pressure on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.  Pittsburgh is 7-4 SU and 6-4-1 ATS versus teams with a winning record since the start of the 2012 campaign.

The Steelers may find it difficult to force the Colts into making some mistakes in this affair, especially since they rank last in the league with just 64 takeaways since 2011.  Roethlisberger does have some weapons on the perimeter to match Luck offensively, with Antonio Brown leading all receivers with 719 yards this year.

Sports bettors will likely back the Colts due to the Steelers being 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games playing on Sunday following a Monday Night game.
