New York had its three-game win streak come to a crashing halt last week, as it dropped a 27-0 decision to the Philadelphia Eagles as one-point road underdogs on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, while going UNDER the betting total for a second consecutive affair.  The Giants must do a better job in protecting quarterback Eli Manning, which is important to consider when making your NFL betting picks, as the offensive line allowed eight sacks.  New York is 6-11 SU and 7-9 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 10-7 in that situation.

The Giants will be without the services of star wide receiver Victor Cruz for the rest of the 2014 campaign, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NFL betting lines, which means that former LSU stars Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle will have to elevate their play.  Manning will try to keep the attack balanced in handing the ball off to rookie running back Andre Williams, as No. 1 option Rashad Jennings will also miss this NFC East matchup.

Dallas is the talk of the league after extending its win streak to five games by picking up a 30-23 victory over the Seattle Seahawks as 10-point road underdogs last week, while it also went OVER the betting total for the third time in four affairs.  The Cowboys have a multi-faceted offensive attack as long as running back DeMarco Murray stays healthy, as he leads the NFL by 243 in the rushing department.  Dallas is 7-1 SU and 2-6 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points since 2012.

The Cowboys are pleased to see quarterback Tony Romo playing at a high level after undergoing offseason back surgery, as he’s tossed 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions during their current run.  Dallas won both meetings a season ago between these rivals, including a 36-31 victory as 3.5-point home favorites on Sept. 8, but it was out-gained in both contests.

Sports bettors will likely back the Giants due to their 7-3 SUATS mark in October the last two-plus seasons.
